John Lennon turned 70 on his birthday this past Saturday. There were multiple celebrations (the more the merrier) worldwide to mark the occasion but one of the most joyous celebrations took place in a concert hall in Manhattan. John Lennon's life deserves to be celebrated!
Called the"Happy Birthday John" concert it featured artists aged nine to ninety. Music stars such as Pete Seeger, Tom Paxton, Mark Hudson and many more teamed up with Lennon's first band The Quarrymen to celebrate Lennon's 70th birthday.
91-year-old Pete Seeger lead from the front by performing Lennon's 1969 famous peace anthem "Give Peace A Chance" together with a choir of youngsters from the age of nine upwards called The RiverTown Kids. Sounds like everyone had an amazing time.
We still miss you John Lennon!
