Boston's hottest nightclub Felt Boston received a rude shock when the city's licensing board slapped it with a two separate two-day suspensions in the wake of two alleged assaults. The officials felt the club deserved to be punished for not informing the police or medical personnel about the two assaults that occurred in a short span of three months.
In one incident the club's female patron claimed that she was attacked and robbed when she was leaving the club with her friends. Not satisfied with stealing her purse and cell phone the crooks tried to rob her off her shoes as well. When she sought help from the club's bouncers (after all protecting patrons is their job ) they supposedly told her to go home.
In the other incident when one of their female bartenders was assaulted by a man she was dating over a cell phone charger, she was coerced to lie about the assault. This is not funny. She was supposedly advised by the manager to say "she had fallen down and hit her head" behind the bar.
Advising employees to lie and ignoring assaults of club patrons is not good for the club's reputation or business!
