A great show ended in a tragedy when pop singer Charles Haddon jumped off a telecommunications mast and into a parking lot at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium. The 22-year-old Haddon of the band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool was found in the parking lot by DJ Jan Van Biesen.
His death is being investigated as a suicide after festival organizers confirmed the singer had "taken his own life."
There have been speculations the singer killed himself because of a stage-diving incident that happened earlier during the band's performance. A young girl was seriously injured after Haddon suddenly dived into the audience. Haddon reportedly feared he may have crippled the girl for life and was heard saying, "I hope she pulls through. I hope she will be able to walk."
It's unbelievably sad and our thoughts are with his family dealing with this tragic event.
