In what can be dubbed a smart move M.I.A has promised she will play a free live concert in New York City, to make amends to all the music lovers she let down last week.
The singer said she realized many people were disappointed at her last week's performance at HARD Festival at Governor's Island in New York. M.I.A's performance had to be cut short because of the threatening thunder and lightning after organizers expressed fears of electrocution.
M.I.A tweeted:
"F#$@ it! im gonna do a free show in nyc when i get back, tho i don't have powers over rain! if u still have the hard ticket u free! Xxxxo." Don't worry if you don't have a Hard Fest ticket. M.I.A has admitted she will let you attend the free concert too provided "if you do me a lil dance".
The singer had a rough time at HARD Fest after technical issues allegedly drowned her vocals during the performance. The singer also spit on a photographer from a music blog during the show. In explanation M.I.A tweeted this,
"Money doesn't buy you shit! i thought more money means better sound guys in america/\/\/\! i was wrong, the higher you go, they turn you lower!"
M.I.A will to start the European leg of her tour this week and hasn't shed any light on the dates of the free concert. If her tweets are anything to go by one can only assume she will hold the free concert in New York when she gets back from her European tour.
