Remember Tom Cruise playing a bartender in the movie Cocktail making those wonderful arty drinks? A good bartender will get you in the groove, and there is always a sense of drama when it comes to mixing drinks. Nothing gets a crowd buzzing better than a bartender with flair and skill.

Speaking of bartenders, few would dispute that Dale Degroff is Numero Uno. He's the Michael Jackson of bartenders. Like the late king of pop Dale has even been nicknamed the "king of cocktails". 

Dale has been credited for converting the regular bar drinkers to switch to Cosmopolitan. Yes we all have heard of the girls from Sex And The City dressed to the nines and painting the town red in their Jimmy Choo's - ordering Cosmopolitans to get over their boy worries. Dunno who should get the credit, but Cosmopolitan is now the most requested alcohol drink after good old beer.

Give this delicious cocktail recipe from Dale a go and you be the judge, if Cosmopolitan lives up to it's hype.

1 oz vodka

5 oz Cointreau

1 tbsp lime juice

Splash of cranberry juice

1 cup of ice cubes

cocktail shaker

chilled martini glass

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. shake gently and strain into your martini glass. Fill right up to the rim. To give that wow factor float a curl of orange or lime peel in the center of your drink.

And then, kick of your shoes folks, sit back and stretch your legs....."Aah this is the life!"
