It's okay, we mis-pronounced his name too at first. Perhaps it's no coincidence that this Dj's cognomen rhymes with the happy pill. Chris Karns aka DJ Vajra is a four time winner of the DMC world DJ Championships and drops the kinds of beats that can improve the circulation on any dancefloor.

You can catch him and his signature Hip-hop, funk and B-boy flavor on Friday nights at Round Midnight or the Goose in Boulder, CO. "Been at this for nearly fourteen years now. Music lover, scratch dj, turntablist, party rocker, hip hop producer, and vinyl enthusiast..." says Vajra. "Performing at the DMC World Finals in London last year was quite a good time. I also had a blast at Club Mix in Beijing!..." he adds.

Every DJ has gotten his or her fair share of ignorant requests from intoxicated revellers and DJ Vajra is no exception. According to him, two of the worst he's ever gotten are requests to play tracks from Britney Spears and Soulja Boy. We can understand his chagrin there. At least they didn't ask for a mix of the two, now that would have been treason.
