As always, the NYC fashion community is ahead of the curve. Vogue, CFDA & the city of New York are putting this amazing event together and want YOU to participate in a Public Service Announcement (PSA) tomorrow July 30, 2009. See article below!
Everyone is buzzing about Fashion’s Night Out, a citywide shopping extravaganza on September 10th organized by Vogue,
NYC & Company, the CFDA and the City of New York that will kick off
this year’s New York Fashion Week. On this night hundreds of stores
around the city will keep their doors open till 11 PM and host designer
appearances, celebrity guests, cocktail parties and much, much more.
How can you get involved now? A special Public Service Announcement
to publicize this history making evening is being filmed tomorrow—and
we want you to come out and help. The PSA will run on television, in
taxis and online and will feature many of the fashion industry’s top
designers, celebrities, and models—and YOU. The finale shot will
feature as many people as possible from all echelons of the fashion
industry—store sales staff to sample-room specialists, merchandisers to
shipping teams, PR assistants to fashion-student interns to shoppers
and will be filmed on 39th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues on
Thursday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m.
Come support Fashion’s Night Out. The first 200 people to show up
for the filming will receive a signature Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt!
If you want to attend (and why wouldn’t you?) RSVP at rsvp@cfda.com.
The CFDA wants as many people as possible to be involved in making
Fashion’s Night Out a huge success. Retailers: If you are interested in
registering your store for a Fashion’s Night Out event, please sign up
