The Sexy Bartender Chronicles - Danielle's Tips for Guys in Groups on How to Meet More Women

by Jerry Paige on December 16, 2009 03:04   0  Comments   Share

When you and your boys go out to the clubs in a group it's understandable that your team is likely to be as strong as the weakest member on the roster. So if one of your team members is consistently attracting bad "chi" towards the rest of the group, Danielle has the perfect strategy to strengthen your offense.

She explains,  “First, split a bottle of vodka with your boys. Trust me, it’s cheaper than buying individual drinks all night. Now the important part: Don’t take your bottle service to some table. Instead, stay at the bar and gather there. Tables by design cut you off from the women you want to meet! At the bar, you can ask any group of girls that steps up to the wood to join this free-booze party. If, like most guys, you walk up and ask a girl if she wants a drink, she throws up a wall. By inviting her into this fun little group, you’re no longer some schemer, but a cool host.”

André Saraiva - Lifestyles of a Nightlife Impresario and Career Party Animal

by Jerry Paige on December 15, 2009 03:12   0  Comments   Share

Something about André Saraiva's past makes you think of an Ecko Unlimited commercial -- a group of restless adolescents leaping over a fence, defacing public property with graffiti and causing a racket with grinding skateboards as they make their exit. The 35-year-old nightlife entrepreneur  has been hitting the clubs  and tagging walls in Paris since he was 12. In an interview with Black Book Mag, André reminisces, "I used to sleep in the clubs until the first subway was open and then go home and then say I was sleeping over at my friend’s place."

These days André owns several spots in Paris including Le Montana, Le Baron and Moon. He also owns Beatrice Inn in New York and is a partner in Hôtel Amour with Thierry Costes of the Costes hotel and restaurant family. André is known to have a viral quality about him -- quick to make friends and connect his new friends with his old friends.

Khloe Don't Play That! - Khloe Kardashian Throws Down at the Playhouse in Hollywood

by Jerry Paige on December 11, 2009 03:37   0  Comments   Share

The buzz on the Playhouse in Hollywood, CA is that it's a classy spot whose owners -- Elie Samaha and his Muse Lifestyle Group have poured more than $6 million into renovating to look like a full-blown Vegas-style club. Not too classy apparantly, for Khloe Kardashian to stomp on any would-be haters. Last Friday, while she and hubby Lamar Odom were out having a good time, a transgender clubber heckled the pair, yelling at Lamar, accusing him of "marrying too young".  Needless to say Mrs. Odom, 25,  didn't take too kindly to the verbal assault, shoving and striking her abuser in retaliation.

The police were immediately called to the Hollywood club where they interrogated all three members of the spat according to sourcing cited by TMZ. Fortunately for the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality starlet nothing was established to be true and nobody was taken down to the station.

by Jerry Paige on November 30, 2009 03:47   0  Comments   Share

A Pretty good DJ these days makes anywhere between $200 - $2,000 for an event. But what does a rookie DJ dating Madonna make you ask? Try $20,000. At least that's how the story goes for Madonna's 22 year old model boyfriend -- Jesus Luz.

Despite having only recently taken up Djing, Jesus is already being hired to play at venues across America -- and nightclubs such as the Hotel on Rivington and Hiro Ballroom in NYC, Dusk Nightclub in Atlantic City etc. are shelling out as much as $20,000 to have him play.

WATT Nightclub - A Groovy Eco Dancefloor that Lights Up As You Dance

by Jerry Paige on November 24, 2009 03:05   0  Comments   Share

Dancefloors that light up as you dance are not exactly a new fad. But suppose you could harness the energy of the numerous revellers on a dancefloor and use that energy to generate electricity? Sounds like something from a science fiction novel? Not quite. Enter SDC - The Sustainable Dance Club in use by the WATT nightclub in Rotterdam. The dance floor consists of LED lights that require kinetic energy from dancing in order to light up.

The dance floor is a bouncing floor made with springs and power generating blocks that contain a unique crystal concentration. When the blocks are pushed down, an electrical current is produced that is captured by rechargeable batteries. As people continue to move around and dance, the batteries are continually recharged. These batteries not only light the dance floor, they are used to power other parts of the nightclub like ceiling lights which replace energy exhaustive spotlights.
