Jay-Z’s Madison Square Garden hip-hop earthquake

by Walter Scott on March 4, 2010 09:25   0  Comments   Share

On Tuesday March 2nd Jay-Z stopped with his “Blueprint 3 Tour” at his hometown NYC and had a smashing performance at the Madison Square Garden.

"Feel it coming in the air," featuring Rihanna dominated the arena as the "Run This Town" track put the crowd on fire. As Jay performed "Empire State of Mind some kind of a special feeling went up in the air of the Madison Square Garden. The arena was filled with hometown pride as Jay-Z’s stunning performance kept on going. On “Big Pimpin'” Jay urged the crowd to wave with their hats, caps, bandanas, rags or whatever they had on, in the air in a totally hip-hop style.

As special guests at this event  Jay had the new hip-hop blood artists like Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj and Drake that pleased the crowd even more.
When the event was over, an after party was held at Jay-Z's club 40/40 where Jay was joined by his bootylicious wife Beyonce Knowles.

November 27 Head down to 121 W 34th Street in NYC this Thanksgiving to observe first hand the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade -- if you're the type that just can't appreciate the true dimensions of the lofty balloons typically featured from a TV set. Legends of the animated world who have featured in the past include, the Pink Panther, Snoopy - a regular at this event, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Shrek, Garfield, Scooby Doo and even the bald headed butler from the Ask Jeeves logo. Can't wait to see who makes their debut this year.

NYC Restaurant Week: A good time to be hungry in NYC

by Jerry Paige on July 26, 2008 08:26   0  Comments   Share

July 28 - Aug 1 2008: NYC Restaurant WekNYC's restaurant week started out in 1992 as a one time event to welcome the Democratic National Convention (DNC) to the City. Thanks to the eager appetites of New Yorkers who leapt at the chance of dining at the City's top restaurants for a fraction of the usual cost - at the time $19.92 for three courses, the show will go on.

The event has expanded to include both lunch and dinner offering - three-course, pre-fixe meals for $24.07 and $35 respectively - and extended to two weeks each in the summer and winter. There are a whopping 235 restaurants who participate, making available a broad and diverse range of cuisines.
