Snooki Serves Jay Leno the Snooki Cocktail

by Sandy on Jan 12, 2011 04:17   0  Comments   Share

Last night on The Tonight Show Snooki got host Jay Leno to sip on her super-sized cocktail subtly named, 'The Snooki Cocktail'. Snooki was there to promote her new novel A Shore Thing

This Snooki cocktail isn't for the weak hearted. Everything about Snooki is super-sized from the over-the top hairstyle and over-the top nature of her comments--well, almost everything. The cocktail is basically one large margarita and two Corona beers. Once you have the margarita and two beers in a jumbo glass in front of you place a lime inside the glass so that the alcohol can mix. Then sip until the cocktail disappears. If you haven't tried a Snooki cocktail yet then this Thursday night is the perfect time to try it as Jersey Shore Season 3 returns to MTV. More...

Violet Flavored Spirits Are Experiencing Renaissance

by Walter Scott on May 6, 2010 08:30   2  Comments   Share

What do you think of when you hear the word violet? There’s the flower and the color. It’s a beautiful shade of purple isn’t it? You might see spring blossoms in your mind and you start to imagine what it would taste like.

Well, wouldn’t it be cool if you could taste what you see? Violet drinks have always been far and few in between in the States, but not anymore!

In 2007 the Rothman & Winter’s Crème de Violette made its way to the States from Austria. Then G. Miclo’s Liqueur de Violette popped up, by a French Alsatian distillery. Crème Yvette is back as well, a nice violet and berry liqueur made of dried violet petals, honey, orange peel, and of course, berries.

These are all good choices for a tasteful evening. Mmm.

1 part sweet lime juice and just a splash of tonic water.

Put the Jack, Canton, lime juice, and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour in a glass and then add the tonic. Stir well, top with a piece of lime and it’s ready to be served!

You don’t have to be George Clooney or a movie star to enjoy a nice glass of spicy Jack.

by Walter Scott on Apr 9, 2010 08:47   0  Comments   Share

Have you thought about what the perfect drink to start your evening off with would be? It's easy to order a heineken or a corona but  where's your nightlife work ethic? How about a smooth and refreshing Mojito?

Here is how to make one:

A basic mojito will need light rum, lime, sugar, mint, and soda water. For one drink, you’ll need
2-3 oz. of light rum
1 oz. of lime juice taken from 1 lime
2 teaspoons of sugar
about 2-4 mint sprigs,
and a bit of soda water to your liking.

Mix the mint, sugar, and just a splash of soda water together until the sugar is dissolved and you can smell the mint. Then you want to add the lime juice, rum, and ice. Shake it well. Strain the mix over cracked ice into a glass. Add a bit more soda water and mint sprigs.

Ding! Now your basic mojito is prepared and ready to serve.

Ladies, this drink is great when you’re taking a break from work with your girls or some pre-gaming before your night out. So once you learn the basics, you’ll be adding fruits and more to your mojito to spice it up!
