Clubs are great places to have some fun and relax with your friends. They can also be the perfect places to meet guys too. Let’s start with the basics. You’re out at the club and you spot a cool guy across the dance floor and you can’t help yourself because you just have to have him. What do you do?

1. Dress nicely. Dressing up for you nights out can just build up your confidence. You should wear something that makes you feel both sexy and classy. Don’t overdo it.

2. Dancing. Bring your girls or grab a few good guy friends to come with. If you’re with your girls, dance in a circle and stay within your group. Make sure to send a few signals to your guy while you dance.

3. The bar. Your guy will surely go to the bar to order some drinks. This is the perfect chance for you to meet him. Follow him to the bar and order another drink while standing next to him.More...

Looking hot on those heels - High heels are popular for nights out

by Toni Wry on Mar 5, 2010 09:34   27  Comments   Share
For most ladies, when it comes to clubbing the choice of shoes is really what gives that special touch to an outfit. Compared to men, women spend more time preparing themselves on a night out and they tend to be pickier when it comes to their outfits.

High heels and thigh high boots are starting to be more and more popular with the lady-club-folk compared to flat shoes and trainers. High heels are considered to look glam on a woman making her look taller and enhancing her body posture.

So is it even possible to hit the dancefloor with heels on? Many ladies say that they cannot dance on high heels while others say it doesn’t really matter. Sure, a pair of Nikes could be more comfortable but would they make you look glamorous? If you manage to rule the dance floor in heels, looking sexy as hell, then you deserve all the free drinks you get bought.

5 Alternatives to Spending New Year's Eve that You Probably Never Thought Of

by Toni Wry on Dec 21, 2009 03:33   3  Comments   Share
I have counted down to the New Year at celebrations in customary haunts such as Mexico, São Paulo, Hong Kong, Sydney, Monte Carlo and believe me, it can get pretty stale year-after-year.

How many times are you going to go be a part of New York’s annual Times Square extravaganza, eat a grape for every stroke of midnight in Barcelona or stand under the fireworks cascade over Sydney’s harbor? Sounds like the perfect time to plan a more original way to ring in the New Year. Let's have a brainstorming session, shall we?

Early New Year's Resolution Tips - How to Cheat the System

by Toni Wry on Dec 10, 2009 01:32   1  Comments   Share

It happens every holiday season, we party hearty leading up to New Year’s Day and then set near-impossible goals come January 1st for our new Year resolutions. Why set yourself up for failure? The truth is, few people can resist the urge to get hammered in order to get through their frenetic lives. Fewer still have the discipline or energy to make time for the daily grind at the gym. Here are a few fun ways you can meet your excercise and alcohol reduction quota:

Excercise Resolution Options
Clubbing is a fun way to burn off calories. Dancing the night away can burn more calories per hour than other activities such as riding a bike or swimming. Salsa dancing burns 420+ calories per hour and belly dancing burns 380 calories per hour. At the very least, clubbing cover charges are way cheaper than a gym membership. Plus, you get to sample a different club’s ambience each weekend rather than staring at the same gym décor.

Upclose and Personal with Sylvain Button -- One of LA's Hottest Nightclub Owners

by Toni Wry on Nov 6, 2009 03:05   9  Comments   Share

Sylvain Button runs Les Deux -- one of Los Angeles' most trendy bars. Les Deux caters to the likes of Paris and Nicky Hilton, Jamie Foxx, Tom Hanks and even The Hills Girls. Sylvain is no "laissez-faire" playboy -- he'll often come to the club as early as 10 a.m. and stay until the club closes.

Although he caters to the stars, Sylvain is a friendly, normal, down to earth guy, who just happens to have three motorcycles and a house in the Hollywood Hills. "Les Deux isn't really a place for hard partying and dancing.", says Sylvain, "It's more of a social nightclub. We offer the whole experience. It's a place where normal people feel like celebrities and celebrities feel like normal people. After all, you have to remember, they [the celebrities] need me as much as I need them."
